Pymatuning Deer Park/Linesville Spillway

Last week we ventured out for a day of fun at Pymatuning Deer Park and Linesville Spillway. We have lived in this area for about 6 years and we are still finding fun things to do around here. My mom took a personal day and we all went to see the animals at the Deer Park. It is a small zoo with about 300 animals.

It was a lot of fun. Because it is small we were able to get very close to most of the animals. You can buy crackers to feed most of them too. Really the only animals that we did not have access to were the large cats like the Siberian tigers. We got to feed deer, reigndeer, camels, monkeys, bear and many other animals. We went to the Pittsburgh Zoo last summer, but Logan was a little too young to appreciate it. This time he really got upclose and personal with a lot of the animals...in Daddy's arms of course. He was a little timid around some of the animals that made loud noises. He even worked up enough courage to feed a few of the animals too. We had a lot of fun.

We also went to the Linesville spillway. It is part of Pymatuning Resevior where the fish are so plentiful, the ducks walk across them. It is really an unbeleivable sight. There are thousands of carp and hundreds of geese and ducks that we were able to feed. Logan had so much fun feeding the fish and watching them jump all over each other.
