It has been our tradition for the past 6 years to go and cut down our own Christmas tree the weekend after Thanksgiving. We would have my family over and decorate the tree, the house and have pizza. Well, this year we "bit-the-bullet" and bought an artificial tree. Because we heat the house with the wood burner the house is dry and the heat kills the real trees too quickly. We love to keep our tree up for a few months and our tree only lasted 3 weeks last year. This year we did not cut down a tree, but still had a fun filled day of Christmas music, decorating and pizza.
